Ehang
EHang, a Guangzhou company listed on Nasdaq, makes the EH216-S, a pilotless passenger-carrying eVTOL in which the autonomy stack is the product. It holds the world's first full certification set for such an aircraft.
Founded in 2014 with 501 to 1,000 staff, it received the EH216-S type certificate in October 2023, followed by airworthiness and production certificates and, in March 2025, air operator certificates. The aircraft are managed through its own cloud command-and-control system approved by China's regulator.
Commercial sightseeing flights are starting in Guangzhou and Hefei. Both certified operators are EHang's own subsidiary and joint venture, so it is effectively its own customer. It reports more than 9,300 trial flights at 20 locations up to 2023.
