Airwayz, a Tel Aviv company founded by Israeli Air Force veterans, builds AI traffic management for drones, deconflicting flights automatically and in real time. It orchestrates most operations under Israel's third National Drone Initiative.
Founded in 2018, it has about 20 staff. Its Dynamic UTM, updated in November 2025, plans and separates drone flights without fixed corridors or lengthy approvals; Airplan manages missions; and OVERWATCH fuses data from any sensor into one airspace picture.
The national initiative builds on more than 16,000 flights in its first two phases. Airwayz also ran a U-space prototype for the Port of Rotterdam, holds a 7 million US dollar contract with Israel Electric Corporation for beyond-visual-line-of-sight flights alongside Propeller Drones and FlightOps, and integrated Tenna's spectrum intelligence into OVERWATCH in July 2026.

Tenna spectrum intelligence integrated into Airwayz OVERWATCH
Airwayz and Tenna Systems announced on 16 July 2026 that Tenna's real-time spectrum intelligence, which shows jamming and spoofing risk, is integrated into Airwayz's OVERWATCH airspace platform.
OVERWATCH was first deployed through Israel's National Drone Initiative.
Airwayz has been selected to manage most operational activity in the next stage of INDI3, Israel's national drone initiative, using its Dynamic UTM system, ATC Network reported on 24 November 2025.
A pre-operational prototype U-space traffic-management system, built on Airwayz technology, was being developed to manage drone operations at the Port of Rotterdam, Unmanned Airspace reported on 12 November 2023.
Dynamic UTM is Airwayz's core AI-driven Unmanned Traffic Management and U-Space Service Provider (UTM/USSP) platform. It provides real-time, fully dynamic management of low-altitude airspace for simultaneous multi-operator and multi-fleet drone operations.
The problem it addresses
Traditional UTM approaches assign fixed airspace corridors or require lengthy per-flight approval cycles, preventing multiple operators from sharing the same airspace at scale. Dynamic UTM replaces static corridor management with real-time, proximity-based deconfliction, enabling high-density commercial drone operations in complex, mixed airspace environments such as ports, cities, and national programs.
Key features
Autonomous flight validation, approval, and route suggestion within a five-second decision window
Real-time autonomous rerouting of drones already airborne, with human operator override capability
Simultaneous management of heterogeneous drone fleets from multiple operators in shared airspace
Continuous monitoring of manned and unmanned traffic, weather conditions, and environmental risks
6 more features
Temporary U-Space zones that can be quickly established and removed for ad-hoc or short-duration operations
AI-driven prediction and assessment of flight path quality, with dynamic adjustment of U-Space boundary sizes based on risk level
Periodic analytics and insights for ports, airports, and regulators covering traffic density, mission types, and operational loads
Large language model-style AI assistant enabling operators to plan missions in plain language
Integration with AIS, ADS-B, radar, and drone detection systems to build a comprehensive aerial picture
Single operational picture spanning planning, approval, execution, and debriefing phases
Supports heterogeneous drone fleets including multi-rotor, fixed-wing, and drone-in-a-box (DIB) systems, 70+ vendors at Port of Rotterdam
BVLOS operations in real urban environments, including nationwide deployment under Israel INDI3
