Air India's Maharaja, a generative-AI virtual agent powered by Azure OpenAI, had answered more than 500,000 customer queries since its March 2023 launch, the Times of India reported on 10 November 2023.

Over 80% of its 6,000 daily questions were answered in seconds, in four languages across 1,300 topic areas.
