Paladin AI

Ground OperationsData Analytics & AI Platforms

Paladin AI, a Montreal company, makes InstructIQ, machine learning that assesses pilot competency from full flight simulator data. TXT e-solutions bought it in 2023.

Founded in 2013 with about ten staff, it now operates as a business unit of PACE Canada within TXT's PACE Aerospace and IT. InstructIQ replaces instructors' subjective scoring with data on how each trainee flies.

European Pilot Selection and Training agreed in July 2025 to use it in ab-initio and advanced courses, its first named training customer; EPST's chief executive says it supports data-driven decisions.

No verified deployments yet

Paladin AI is profiled in the companies register, but no deployment has been verified against published evidence. Records are added as evidence is reviewed and graded.

InstructIQ

AI-powered web and mobile platform for adaptive pilot training analytics. Flight instructors install the mobile application on iPads while a hardware data collector connects to existing flight training devices.

The problem it addresses

Traditional pilot training relies on subjective instructor scoring and one-size-fits-all curricula, making it expensive and inefficient. InstructIQ enables objective, data-driven competency-based training (CBT) that adapts to individual pilot needs, reducing unnecessary training time and associated costs while improving standardization and safety outcomes.

Market context

Paladin AI addresses the airline pilot training market by replacing subjective instructor assessment with objective, AI-driven competency measurement.

Its InstructIQ platform integrates with existing flight simulators to analyse performance data and recommend targeted training interventions, enabling competency-based training (CBT) without major operational disruption.

The pilot shortage (global gap of 80,000+ pilots by 2030) and regulatory shift toward CBT (EBT in Europe) are structural tailwinds.

Profile data from the Aerostack companies register; deployment records from the verified register. Evidence grades: T1 first-party confirmation, T2 credible reporting. See Our approach for how records are graded.

Aerostack tracks AI deployments across airports and airlines, with the published evidence behind each record. Photography is real aviation imagery. Record thumbnails may show the named airport or airline; other photographs do not.
