Jakarta has live biometric corridors and another identity test in development
Amadeus has described barrier-reducing biometric immigration at Soekarno-Hatta. An Indonesian PIONA prototype addresses domestic passenger validation and remains a separate pilot.

The available operating evidence
International immigration and domestic airline check-in do not use the same identity rules. The domestic prototype cannot validate the immigration installation.
Amadeus described biometric walk-through corridor processing in November 2025, while Indonesian reporting refers to PIONA testing at several airports in 2026. Indonesia's domestic identity prototype can be compared with the live immigration corridor only if their separate operating authorities, passenger eligibility rules and decisions about exceptions are kept visible to readers.
A live border system does not establish that the planned domestic identity programme has reached national rollout.

What the record establishes
01 / Deployed · limited scope
Jakarta has live biometric corridors and another identity test in development
The operational problem
Immigration officials need dependable identity verification without a bottleneck at the barrier.
What the sources report
Amadeus reported biometric biometric walk-through corridor use at Soekarno-Hatta as part of a broader deployment.
Why it matters
The installed system is relevant to passenger flow, although biometric matching must be assessed separately from other AI claims.
What remains unproven
Independent matching accuracy, throughput and immigration staffing impact have not been established.
Evidence supports a reported claim; it does not automatically establish a measured operating benefit.
The wider register
What else is happening at Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta?
The associated register entries remain available with their separate operator, source and deployment status. They are not additional evidence of a result claimed in this feature.

Angkasa Pura is testing a prototype of the PIONA facial-recognition validation system at Soekarno-Hatta, Surabaya and Bali for domestic flights.

Where the evidence points
This is primarily a border-technology story; broader AI capability should be evidenced separately.
The full deployment record retains the source history and qualification of reported results.
