Montréal funds AI work on the congestion outside the terminal
Ramp Fluidity addresses landside road congestion rather than an airside aircraft turnaround. Scale AI lists project funding, but proposed capacity gains are not delivered results.

The operating picture
The airport's approach roads can become an operational constraint before travellers enter the building.
Scale AI lists Aéroports de Montréal with IVADO Labs and Groupe Infynia on a funded AI project for traveller information and planning. The capacity projection is large enough to merit scrutiny. It depends on road access and passenger behaviour changing over several years, not simply on an algorithm being switched on.
The funding case projects additional annual capacity by 2028; that is an aspiration.

The evidence behind the application
01 / Reported · unverified
Montréal funds AI work on the congestion outside the terminal
The operational problem
Traffic managers need forecasts that change route and access decisions before the road network locks up.
What the sources report
The September 2025 project listing describes AI applications for Montréal's landside congestion.
Why it matters
The geographic scope makes this distinct from an airport queue-monitoring vendor installation.
What remains unproven
The projected 160,000 additional passengers a year is not an observed gain, and a live deployment is unverified.
Evidence supports a reported claim; it does not automatically establish a measured operating benefit.
The wider register
What else is happening at Montréal–Trudeau?
The rest of the airport register retains other reported activity with distinct maturity, ownership and source evidence.
Veovo operations platform and flight information displays at Montréal-Trudeau · Deployed · limited scope
Montréal-Trudeau has gone live with Veovo's flight information display system and airport operations platform, Passenger Terminal Today reported on 14 September 2026, with displays able to show targeted content in several languages. Veovo says the platform gives the airport a single trusted flight record. Future Travel Experience reported the same go-live.
Evidence supports a reported claim; it does not automatically establish a measured operating benefit.
Enhanced Passenger Processing for international arrivals at Montréal-Trudeau · Deployed · limited scope
BigBear.ai lists Montréal-Trudeau among the sites using its biometric system for Enhanced Passenger Processing, which streamlines international arrivals, in a release of 17 June 2025.
Evidence supports a reported claim; it does not automatically establish a measured operating benefit.
Editorial assessment
Montréal's programme is about getting people to the airport, not turning aircraft around. The relevant outcome is observed traffic flow after an intervention, not its proposed future capacity.
