Zagreb's promised A-CDM platform needs a documented go-live

Zagreb Airport agreed with EMMA Systems to introduce an AI-labelled operations platform aligned to airport collaborative decision-making. Public announcements describe the intended function; they do not establish live operation.

A shared departure plan requires participation

Collaborative decision-making relies on the airline, handler and airport using consistent milestones for the same aircraft turn. A predictive tool may help with the next timestamp, but only after the basic shared record is dependable.

Zagreb and EMMA described their agreement in 2024, following earlier trade reporting. The supplier says its system uses historical and current traffic patterns to predict operational constraints. The airport's chief operations officer spoke about improving coordination and resource use.

The agreement has a named airport buyer and operational purpose. Its present evidence remains a contract-stage account; it does not provide an accepted installation date or airline-side result.

An A-CDM platform intended to predict pressure

The operational problem

A late ground-handling milestone can undermine departure sequencing when the parties work from incompatible estimates.

What the sources report

EMMA Systems and Zagreb Airport announced their A-CDM collaboration in July 2024. The supplier describes AI forecasting of traffic and operational hindrances.

Why it matters

If commissioned, the system could help a shared operations team anticipate conflicts and coordinate responses.

What remains unproven

Airport-confirmed go-live, participating organisations, forecast validation and changes in aircraft delay are not established.

Evidence supports a reported claim; it does not automatically establish a measured operating benefit.

This is the airport's only relevant AI-labelled canonical deployment. A collaboration agreement should not be counted as a live implementation.

No additional publicly listed deployment records.

The next useful source is an airport operating report

The airport's collaboration decision is meaningful. Evidence that the forecasts are used in departures planning would be the point at which this becomes a stronger operational AI story.
