Aeroporti di Roma launched an AI virtual assistant, presented with the mascot ADRYX, as a WhatsApp chatbot and on adr.it, AWS announced on 22 October 2025. Built with AWS and Storm Reply on Amazon Bedrock, the assistant uses generative AI and a multi-agent design and answers in Italian and English with flight updates, baggage status and recommendations.
ADR serves around 50 million travellers a year, according to ADR in the AWS release. Storm Reply published a case study on the project the same day.
