Flight Token is HKIA's biometric departure system, letting passengers move through departure checkpoints from bag drop to security and boarding by showing their faces. The Airport Authority said in October 2022 that it had implemented it in full, Simple Flying reported on 25 October 2022.

Arrivals came next. From 30 September 2025, Hong Kong residents aged 11 or over who use Flight Token on departure can clear immigration on return at Face Easy e-Channels, the Immigration Department said on 29 September 2025.

Biometric Update reported on 3 April 2026 that 12 more e-Channels had opened, with the total due to reach 52 when the upgrade finishes in 2027.
